Abigail Akande, Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation and Human Services at Penn State Abington, and Puva Ponniah, manager of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion for World University Service of Canada in Sri Lanka, are working on an collaborative research mission. They are exploring the experiences of women with disabilities as they pertain to their access to employment, education, and rehabilitation services in Sri Lanka.

Jaspriya Malhotra and Nina Primavera along with nine other Penn State Abington students majoring in Psychological and Social Sciences attended the Midwestern Psychological Association conference in Chicago. They presented their first author work during the conference and attended poster and paper talk sessions. Two faculty members accompanied them.

The 2018 Invent Penn State’s Venture & IP Conference, held April 19-20 at the Penn State Hotel and Conference Center, attracted more than 600 participants, including 80 startup companies and more than 40 venture capitalists and industry advisers — all working together to drive innovation, foster collaboration and enable startup companies to take their businesses to the next level.
